In this calming, slow-paced craft workshop, you’ll learn how to transform simple fabric into shimmering, textured artwork using bugle beads, seed beads, sequins and embellishment techniques perfect for clothing, accessories, and home décor.
Whether you’re brand new to embroidery or already love creative hand-stitching, this workshop is designed to help you relax, reconnect, and enjoy a mindful afternoon of making.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout this hands-on beaded embroidery class, Mercedes will gently guide you through:
- How to prepare your fabric and embroidery hoop
- Techniques for stitching and securing each type of bead
- How to work with bugle beads, seed beads, sequins and rhinestones
- Simple methods for finishing your piece so it’s ready to frame, wear, or embellish future projects
- We will all begin with the same motif, but you’ll have complete freedom to personalise your piece with your own colour palette, materials, textures, and expressive details.
- Due to the individual nature of stitching, some participants may finish their motif during class while others may continue at home. Rest assured, you will have everything you need to complete your design.
- Various colour-way packs are available for you to choose from (limited quantities of each available.)
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with:
✔ Your own hand-embroidered motif.
✔ Foundational stitching skills for future beaded embroidery projects.
✔ A printed guide with techniques, tips, and supplier recommendations.
✔ A take-home embroidery kit so you can continue your creative journey at home.

This workshop will be held in our upstairs studio, which unfortunately does not have wheelchair access.

Your space in a class is reserved only once full payment has been received.
Our workshop tickets are non refundable, but if you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place.
We do require a minimum number of people to run each class. In the rare event we do not meet the minimum numbers required to run a class, you will be offered your choice of a class transfer to a new date or a full refund.
In the event you forget to come or you are unable to attend a workshop, the ticket is non transferable after the event.
Whilst arriving, attending and leaving the workshops, it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain and adhere to all safety precautions and requirements during the workshop. Little Lane workshops and the attending creatives hold no personal liability or responsibility for any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property, or any physical injuries obtained during the workshop.
