Escape the everyday and spend a relaxing creative session painting the beauty of our local coastline.
In this inspiring seascape acrylic painting workshop, you will learn how to capture the movement, light and atmosphere of the ocean using acrylic paint on beautiful handmade paper. Guided by experienced artist Sunny, you will work from photographs and original paintings as inspiration while creating your own unique interpretation of a coastal scene.
Perfect for beginners through to experienced artists, this workshop focuses on simplifying shapes, understanding tone and exploring the calming rhythm of painting water, skies and shoreline and this class is a beautiful way to slow down, connect with art and explore the natural landscapes that inspire us.
During this workshop you will learn how to:
- Create a set of hand painted seascape cards
- Translate a coastal landscape into a small scale seascape painting.
- Work with a limited acrylic colour palette to create depth and harmony.
- Simplify forms while balancing light, tone and composition.
- Add delicate finishing details to bring your artwork to life
Sunny will guide you step by step, making this class perfect if you are new to painting or looking to build confidence in acrylic painting techniques.
By the end of the session you will have completed your own original acrylic seascape painting, mounted on a recycled clipboard so it is ready to take home and display as a lovely reminder of your creative day along with your set of hand painted cards.

WORKSHOP DETAILS
- Open age class – suitable for ages 12+
- As this is an open age class - children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
- No previous experience required – perfect for beginners

Your space in a class is reserved only once full payment has been received.
Our workshop tickets are non refundable, but if you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place.
We do require a minimum number of people to run each class. In the rare event we do not meet the minimum numbers required to run a class, you will be offered your choice of a class transfer to a new date or a full refund.
In the event you forget to come or you are unable to attend a workshop, the ticket is non transferable after the event.
Whilst arriving, attending and leaving the workshops, it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain and adhere to all safety precautions and requirements during the workshop.
