Discover the joy of creative freedom in our Mixed Media Art Workshop guided by the wonderfully creative Sally Walsh from Sillier Than Sally Art Studio, you'll explore the exciting world of abstract mixed media art using layers of paint, collage, texture and expressive mark making to create your own one-of-a-kind canvas.
This hands-on art class is all about letting go of perfection, embracing play and enjoying the creative process. You'll begin by creating a loose and energetic acrylic painted background before choosing your own colour palette and building your artwork with colourful and vintage papers, stencils, stamps, texture tools and beautifully imperfect marks.
Throughout the workshop, Sally will guide you step by step, sharing her favourite techniques, creative tips and those wonderful little "aha!" moments that help build confidence and remove the fear of making art. As each layer is added, you'll discover how simple materials can come together to create an artwork full of depth, movement and personality.
No drawing skills or artistic experience are needed. Whether you're trying mixed media for the very first time or you're already a passionate maker, this workshop is designed to inspire creativity, encourage experimentation and remind you that art is meant to be enjoyed.
By the end of the session, you'll take home your own vibrant abstract mixed media artwork, along with a collection of techniques and inspiration to continue creating at home.

Your space in a class is reserved only once full payment has been received.
Our workshop tickets are non refundable, but if you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place.
We do require a minimum number of people to run each class. In the rare event we do not meet the minimum numbers required to run a class, you will be offered your choice of a class transfer to a new date or a full refund.
In the event you forget to come or you are unable to attend a workshop, the ticket is non transferable after the event.
