You’ll learn how drawing can be a practice of mindfulness and meditation, helping you reconnect with yourself in a therapeutic and deeply satisfying way.

This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 12 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Please Note: This class will be held in Studio 2 which is upstairs and unfortunately does not have wheelchair access.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Alisa Nyquist
With a passion for creativity and connection, Alisa is a vibrant and inspiring art teacher dedicated to helping others tap into their artistic potential. With years of experience guiding both children and adults through painting, drawing, and mixed media, she brings warmth, energy, and deep knowledge to every class she leads.
Her approach is inclusive, relaxed, and playful, empowering students to explore their creativity feeling relaxed, encouraged and supported.
Before turning her focus to teaching and creating art full-time, Alisa’s creativity led her to a senior role in ABC Television, where she worked in marketing, promotions, and branding across multiple channels. Her work earned her numerous awards both nationally and in New York, reflecting her ability to bring bold ideas to life with clarity, heart, and vision.
This rich background in storytelling and visual communication deeply informs her teaching style today.
Outside the classroom, Alisa is a practicing artist who finds inspiration in nature, personal growth and daily rituals.
