Come and join Polymer Clay artist Jeanette Baptista to learn how to create a beaded necklace and buttons of various shapes and sizes in your favourite colour pallete.
Polymer clay is an incredibly versatile material and Jeanette will show you how to condition, shape, cure, finish and assemble your bead necklace on leather cord. You will learn the tricks of hand rolling beautifully round and evenly sized beads and how to avoid distortion when making holes. We will then explore a number of techniques to create differently shaped beads.
Polymer clay buttons can be used for your garments or crafting projects and you will learn how to mix your own colours and create original pieces to suit your style.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Jeanette Baptista is the owner of Forest Moments Design, and you may have even bought yourself a pair of earrings which are stocked at our Little Lane shop.
Her love of modelling began 12 years ago when she started cake decorating - modelling figures and wired flowers from fondant icing. Once she found polymer clay as a modelling medium, she became hooked on its versatility and endless creative possibilities.
She loves creating neutral collections for everyday wear as well as intricate floral pieces, which polymer clay lends itself so well to. Born in Zimbabwe and living in Johannesburg, London and Melbourne, she has settled on the Northern Beaches with her family and takes inspiration from the natural environment with its forests and beaches.
