SKATEBOARD DECK ART FUNDRAISER Workshop for One Eighty Youth Suicide Prevention Saturday 20th October 10-1pm & 2.30 - 5.30pm
Open up / Draw it out & Protect our Youth!
In this special event - parent (or grandparents) & child will work together using hand drawn letter forms to decorate a skateboard deck as a vehicle for self expression.
The idea behind this class is to open the lines of communication through art between kids and adults and all profits raised will be donated to One Eighty Avalon to raise much needed funds to help create a youth suicide free future on the Northern Beaches.
The team from One Eighty will help with the 'opening up' process encouraging discussions between adult & child, and then guided by Graphic Artist David Jones you guys will the create a design that will allow you to 'draw it' out on your skateboard decks.
Guests will run through different ways to draw letter forms with a variety of Posca markers and from there, you will be encouraged to find your own style that best expresses YOUR voice.
The final designs will be drawn directly on skateboard decks. (please note that these decks are designed as art decks and may not be ideal as working skate decks).
This class is suitable for kids / teens age 7-18 and parents / grandparents / aunts / uncles / adult friends and ticket includes 1 adult & 1 child.
Spend an afternoon with a special kid in your life and help us protect all the kids in our community.
