DIY Natural Skincare products with Sage Cosmetics
In this class you will learn the fundamentals of making natural skincare. You will understand the difference between key ingredient groups and how they work on the body.
We will discuss best practice for making your own handmade product at home and make sure you feel confident to do some of your own experimenting when you leave.
Plus, of course, you will be completely hands on in the activity of making 3 delightful body products.
No experience is necessary, all ingredients and equipment included.
Sugar & Salt Body Polish – this sumptuous scrub is an absolute delight to use on the skin. It is an impressive, indulgent body treatment. Almond and Coconut oils deliver softening and skin soothing properties whilst scrub ingredients, Epsom salts, Sugar & Coffee grounds, deeply exfoliate and stimulate the body. The skin is then cleansed and balanced with the inclusion of Ylang Ylang and Mexican Orange Sweet essential oils.
Soft & Smooth Lip Balm – keep lips totally kissable with this protective balm. Full of moisturising carrier oils, butters and waxes, it will be a must have little jar as the Autumn months arrive. Castor oil and Shea Nut butter help to minimise chapped skin, along with a protective action from Cocoa butter and Beeswax. Plus, Australian Mandarin and Peppermint essential oils provide a lovely sweet, tingly flavour.
Soulful Body Butter – a daily delight for the body! The perfect product to keep skin nourished and looking healthy. Natural carrier oils, butters and waxes deliver an ideal balance of moisture, protection and softening action. Partnered with a blend of Brazilian Tangerine, Cedarwood and Neroli essential oils for a truly resonating scent. Only natural preservatives are utilised in this formulation.
Making your own products allows you to control the ingredients you apply on your skin.
Natural ingredients used in the class are never tested on animals and are sourced through ethical suppliers.
DIY using small pack ingredients minimises the waste of costly raw materials.
Polly & Lu* will provide lots of information further to the 3 products made in class, your take-home handbook will include extended content.
You will learn how to select carrier oils, essential oils and other ingredients that are specific to your skin type so that you can custom design your own products to make at home.
