Crochet Floor Rug Workshop Thursday 23.02.17 6-9pm
In this class you will learn to create your own beautiful crochet round rug with Jodie Groeneveld from @sistahook. Using the increasingly popular spaghetti or tshirt yarn she will show you how easy and quick it is to crochet your own beautiful floor or table decor.
Yarn made from jersey (sometimes known as tshirt or spaghetti yarn ) is fantastic for crochet, knitting, macrame, and comes in a great variety of colours and has great stretch and recovery. It is one of those yarns that is brilliant for homewares as well as accessories such as bags and jewellery.
Jodie will teach you the basic crochet stitches required to make your rug and then how to read a pattern to crochet a rug as large or as small as you like. There will be a variety of colours available so you can create suitable colour combinations for your home. The workshop price includes materials consisting of 1kg of spaghetti yarn (approx 130-150 metres), different size crochet hooks and a few small tools to keep your work neat and tidy.
Additional yarn will be available for purchase on the day.
