Create & Meditate Kids: After School Art Club Wednesdays 4pm-5.30pm
Kids Meditate and Create workshops give your child the opportunity to connect, relax and express.
Each workshop is an opportunity for kids to practise mindfulness-based meditation exercises, use their imagination, recognise their strengths and develop their self-esteem.
Every session begins with a short mindful activity to connect everyone and settle in for the creative journey. They are then taken on a short-guided meditation, which is the basis for the creative expression. The kids are then offered a variety of art materials to have fun and express what has meaning to them from the meditation. Each session is completely unique with a different theme each week to engage kids. It’s not a regular art class, where the final product is the aim.
The aim of Kids Meditate and Create sessions are for you’re your child to experience mindfulness and enjoy the creative process. It is a fun and creative workshop where kids are connecting to their breath, engaging their creative imaginative side of their brain and socialising with others. The benefits of the session have a flow on affect for your child in so many areas.
Term 3 workshops start;
Wednesdays 26th July - 22nd Sept.
Workshops are 1.5 hours long and start at 4pm
Investment $280 per term per child. (term includes 9 weeks) and all art materials are provided. 2 make up sessions are permitted per term.
Each session has a positive aim and each week has a different meditation and aim; such as boosting self-esteem, building resilience, increasing self awareness, reducing anxiety, inspiring creative thinking and connecting to self and others.
