My heart is breaking as I write this, and honestly, like so many I imagine... I keep feeling like I am going to wake up any moment to find it was all just a bad dream.
That said, this is the reality we are all facing right now with this global pandemic and with the Government announcements this afternoon on the new restrictions on indoor public gatherings that would require a four-square metre radius for every person with a 1.5 metre spacing, we have had to make the gut wrenching decision to postpone all of our workshops for March and April.
We are at this point keeping our May and beyond classes in place unless advised otherwise and we will reassess weekly in line with the Government legislation.until such a time as the restrictions are lifted.
With my mother staring chemotherapy this week, we are now more than ever acutely aware of the importance of protecting our loved ones throughout our community. Our priority is always the health and safety and wellbeing of our staff and our community and as such we are complying with the government recommendations to postpone all non essential gatherings.
We will be contacting all of you who have booked into a class that has been postponed and we will be issuing all ticket holders with a credit in the form of a gift voucher that is valid for 12 months that can be used to book into a new date for our workshops. Rest assured, we will be back up and running and will have you joining us as soon as possible so that we can welcome you with a big (legal) hug.
We are also optimistically rescheduling classes for news dates in June and beyond and we will contact each of you individually with the new dates for the specific workshops you have booked, as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
These are incredibly difficult circumstances for all of us right now and we ask for your patience and your understanding as we navigate this together.
This is by no means the end of Little Lane Workshops... not even close.
This business is not only our family business and our livelihood - it is our everything and YOU are our family too. It is because of you and our incredible family of creatives that we have managed to build the most wonderful and beautiful community that we have. We will prevail.... I will make damned sure of it... I ask that you please stick by us whilst I prove it.
Whilst we are forced to postpone our regular workshops for the time being, we are already working closely with our family of creatives on ways that we can help the creative community through these troublesome times, and provide activities for those who are isolated. We are developing dynamic new ways to bring connection and creativity into your life via online learning and we will share these options with you as soon as we possibly can.
Together, our entire community will re emerge, stronger, wiser and with empathy for each other unlike anything we have known before.
Please take care of each other, be kind to each other and please continue to support small businesses however you can so that we can all recover as quickly as possible as soon as this nightmare has passed.
If you have any questions at all - please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.
Sending so much love and light to you all.
