      Join printmaker Negin Maddock and learn the basics of rubber block carving and relief printmaking.

      Negin will guide you through the essentials of relief printmaking and you will print your very own hand carved works on paper and greeting cards.

      This class will include a brief introduction to printmaking, an introduction the essential tools and materials, the preparation required for carving a block, and various carving, inking and printing techniques.   

      Bring some imagery or drawings of simple designs you would like to carve.

      No experience is necessary.


      Negin is an illustrator and printmaker living in beautiful Bronte Beach. She has been printmaking since she was 12 years old. She was introduced to the printing press in high school and they have been in a tumultuous love affair since.

      She is a member of the Warringah Printmakers Studio and exhibits her prints in annual group exhibitions. Negin specialises in a number of printmaking techniques including linocut, etchings, photopolymer and collagraphs.

      She is particularly fond of the relief printing methods such as linocuts and rubber stamping as it is versatile and accessible to anyone, and does not require expensive tools, dangerous chemicals or a printing press.

      Your space in a class is reserved only once full payment has been received.

      Our workshop tickets are non refundable, but if you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place.

      In the event you forget to come or you are unable to attend a workshop, the ticket is non transferable after the event.
